![]() When Kaye helps an injured faerie she gets mixed up in something very complicated, not realising that she was always going to be mixed up in the events of the faerie world. And it turns out there’s a lot more to Kaye’s stories than people think. So she’s a bit of an outcast, though her friend Janet seems to accept her as she is. ![]() ![]() She has stories that make her seem a bit weird and people generally don’t understand her. Kaye is someone who a lot of young girls and teenagers might be able to identify with because she’s a bit of an outcast. Kaye appears to be an ordinary young girl, dragged around with her mother as she attempts to achieve her dream. ![]() I’ll go through each of the independent novellas for this series. However, there’s no point moping about what cannot be changed and at least now I know to do a bit of research before I go diving into a new authors work, particularly if it’s fantasy. ![]() Characters from Modern Faerie Tales are also referred to and feature in Folk of the Air. Though I don’t think it was critical you have to read this series before hand, I am still sad that I didn’t realise there was such a connection and that I didn’t have that knowledge and understanding of the characters before hand. I previously reviewed each book in The Folk of the Air series and Modern Faerie Tales actually precedes that series. This is in fact three books in one and includes a short story at the end. ![]()
