![]() ![]() The constant reference to a drink dubbed The Red Headed Slut combined with the resulting vomit it induced was a favorite subject to bring up repeatedly, Throw in a cherished stuffed animal named Piggy Poo (MUCH emphasis on the word POO) which is also brought up repeatedly. The extremely over contrived humor which killed anything that might have been funny in it was WAY over the top. He is mature (except when he is taken over by his 14 year old alter ego), sweet, good with her kids, intelligent, honorable.need I go on? His parts of the book are reasonably enjoyable to read. Then you have Liam, who is a perfect Hero. ![]() This is a woman who earns a living as a psychiatrist? I pity her patients. She is constantly putting herself down and questioning why he would find her attractive. She is a neurotic, insecure, self doubting mess who spends every spare moment fixating on every single flaw she has and feeling unworthy of Liam's attention. I prefer a strong, confident, and funny heroine who knows what she wants and what she's worth. The difference in this book and Sarina's others is Tanya Eby. Older woman seduced by younger man is a genre I one of my favorites and I've always liked Sarina Bowen. ![]() So I had high hopes for it in spite of my last experience with a book from this series. The audible sample was also good and there was only 1 review shown on it that showed 5 stars. I checked out the excerpt on the back of this book and it seemed so promising. ![]()
